About CEBRT

Centre of Excellence In Biotechnology Research & Training (CEBRT)

Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology Research & Training (CEBRT) is an entity of the Department of Biotechnology, AKS University, Satna (M.P.). The research and training programs CEBRT is designed to develop skills of aspirants as per present needs of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries by providing skilled professionals with hands on experience in various facets of techniques. Each module covered under CEBRT is “study and hands on” intensive.

Key points of the programs under CEBRT:

Projects trainees will get trained extensively by our Expert Faculty Members on research methodologies including:

Microbial technology
Fermentation technology
Plant Biotechnology
Molecular biology,
Nanotechnology
Bioinformatics Tools
Analytical tools and techniques
Microscopy including digital compound microscopy as well as electron microscopy.

These project studies are aimed to develop skills of the trainees in all manners to achieve their goals. This training is also followed by Biotechnology Popular Expert Lectures from various prestigious research organizations such as CSIR laboratories, DBT laboratories, Central Universities and IITs as well as Experts from Pharmaceutical Industries. Trainees may interact with these renowned researchers and get guidance from them.

Proper guidance is given to each trainee to make them prepared for competitive examinations such as CSIR-NET, DBT and ICMR, GATE Fellowships programs.

(Theoretical and Practical Approach)

Introduction

With Institute Industry Interface, Department of Biotechnology offers training to students and researchers who want to be technologists in a wide variety of companies of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, nutritional products, dialysis centers, semiconductors, other industrial and government sectors. Our laboratory provides extensive training includes theoretical and practical approaches of microbiology, environmental monitoring, water chemistry, research services for new antimicrobial compounds, molecular biology, PCR, cell culture, cell-based bioassays and analytical testing. Our target is to develop student and researchers skills in GLP and GMP so that they can further achieve their position as skilled Technologist in Quality Control/Quality Assurance [Microbiology] and other sector.

About the course

This is a full time regular course of six months which covers extensive theoretical and practical training of QC/QA Microbiology, Basic Science –Microbiology/Contamination Control, Cleaning Validation, Environmental Monitoring, Molecular & Cell Biology Testing, Cell Culture Services, GMP and GLP Training which enable students and researchers skilled as required in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnological, microbiological, food industries and other private and government sector. This course provides immense opportunities to candidates for making career as Technologists/Scientists in Microbiology and Biotechnology field of private sector as well as in government sector.

Cultural Directorate

Vision

The Cultural Directorate is completely devoted for preparing the students for the practices of different areas of arts and culture. To this end, a variety of practical skills need to be developed and a corpus of knowledge acquired hence the central objective of the directorate is to develop creativity and its imaginative expression within the collective framework of a group.

Aim & Objectives

The objectives of Cultural Directorate can briefly be summarized as shown below:

To encourage and promote skills of students in the fields of music, dance, drama and applied arts.
Giving a holistic approach for conservation, preservation and dissemination of multidimensional cultural activities among students.
To provide students an opportunity to articulate their creativity in the field of arts and culture.
Promotion of performing arts of various genres (Classical/Traditional/Modern arts in the field of Music, Dance and Drama).
Preservation, nourishment and protection of language, cultural ethos, artistic traditions and heritage of Madhya Pradesh as well as India.
To enrich the cultural lives of students and make them aware of their social responsibilities and understand the implications of their actions.

The Garba Night celebration at AKS University during Navratri was a lively and colorful event that together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the joyous festival of Navratri with enthusiasm and fervor. The campus was adorned with vibrant decorations, setting the perfect ambiance for the festivities.

Vindhya Vyapar Mela 2023-24

The Vindhya Vyapar Mela 2023-24, hosted at Vindhya Chamber of Commerce, Satna saw enthusiastic participation from Aks University students. Their presence highlighted their entrepreneurial prowess and potential, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

Bollywood Day Celebration

On September 24th, AKS University came alive with the vibrant colors, music, and energy of Bollywood Day. Students and staff alike adorned themselves in traditional Indian attire, eager to immerse themselves in the magic of Bollywood cinema.

Shivratri Celebration

The spirit of devotion and celebration filled the air at Aks University as students came together to commemorate Shivratri. The day began with an auspicious rally, led by students from E Block to A Block, chanting prayers and carrying banners adorned with symbols of Lord Shiva. The campus resonated with the sounds of drums and the rhythmic steps of the marching students, creating a powerful atmosphere of unity and reverence.

Krishna Janamashtami Celebration

The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at AKS University Satna was a vibrant and joyous occasion, filled with devotion and cultural fervor. Students and faculty members gathered to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu.

36^th Inter University Central Zone Youth Festival 2022-23 (AKS University)

The year 2023 marked the 36th year of Youth Festival and AKS University situated in the white Tiger Land of Vindhya Region a famous city of Mai Sharda Known As Satna District of Madhya Pradesh, hosted the 36th Inter University Central Zone Youth Festival, 2022-23 “AKSUtsav” under the Aegis of Association of Indian Universities AIU.

37^th Inter University Central Zone Youth Festival 2023-24

The 37^th Inter University Central Zone University Youth Festival 2023-24 organized by Swami Vivekanand Shubharti University, Meerut where Aks University Satna showcased its talent. They clinched the 3rd position in Group Song Indian and also secured 3rd place in the Mehndi competition, demonstrating their artistic flair and musical prowess on a competitive stage.

Panchamved Theater Festival 2023-24

The students of AKS University's theatre team embarked on an enriching journey to the prestigious Panchamved Theater Festival Organized at Makhanlal Chaturvedi Auditorium in Rewa. With eager hearts and boundless enthusiasm, they brought to life the stage with their rendition of the renowned play "Raja Master." Committee

Anti-Ragging Committee

Anti-ragging is a movement to prevent the occurrence of ragging activities i.e. vocal or
physical abuse and violence on student’s dignity in the college/university premises. It aims
to make the students feel safe and supported in the University campus. These include
Security cameras in campus and anti-ragging helpline numbers.
To maintain the quality of academics and continuous growth, AKS University puts
tremendous efforts to stop ragging activities on the campus.
To prevent such ragging activities, an anti-ragging committee has been constituted with the
following members.

Disciplinary Committee

To Ensure Peaceful environment in the university campus.
To avoid misbehaviour or physical violence among students.
To frame a procedure to reduce violence or disciplinary activities.
Conduct meetings or ask for reports for in disciplinary activities among students.

The UDC (University Disciplinary Committee) may seek the assistance of wardens, hostel
superintendent, Security Staff and other staff members to investigate the cases of
indiscipline. It is up to the standing committee to investigate all cases of student’s indiscipline.
As per the ordinance of AKS University Provision No. 8 clause no. 4, the University
Disciplinary Committee is constituted as under

Anti- Squad Committee

Every Educational Institution should constitute a committee known as, Anti- Squad Committee. This
is nominated and headed by representatives of any organizations. The main functions of anti-squad
the committee is to stop incidents of ragging at various places of University campus like classrooms,
library, canteen, hostels, buses, the campus at university etc. The anti-ragging squad will be working under
the guidance of Anti Ragging Committee
Anti-ragging Squad will make every student aware of ragging and its punishments. Also, it
informs the students about anti-ragging helpline numbers.

Internal Complaint Committee

In pursuance of Hon’ble Supreme Courts directions, and clause no. 4 of the notification of
MHRD dated 2 May 2016, a Grievance Redressal Mechanism/Internal Complaint Committee
(ICC) has been framed for Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of
women employees and students at AKS University, Satna, M.P.
